Friday Simple Stamping – Encouragement

September 11th, 2020

This week the theme for Simple Stamping is Encouragement.  According to the National Register of Calendar Days, tomorrow, September 12th is Encouragement Day.  I am sure that someone in your life needs a little pep talk!

Loyal Leaves Encouragement Cards

Today, I am featuring “Loyal Leaves” stamp set.  Encouragement sentiments have been selected from a few other stamp sets in my Stepped-Up versions of the #simplestamping card.

Easy – You Are Strong

You Are Strong – Loyal Leaves

A quick and simple card.  Stamped off images from “Comfort & Hope” in Crumb Cake make up the background.  The Leaf is stamped in Soft Suede, fussy cut and popped up over the background.  Color is blurred slightly by using a Blender Pen.  Just Stamp, Ink and Paper.

Step Up – You Have Strength

You Have Strength – Loyal Leaves

To step up this card, I stamped two leaves in Cajun Craze, fussy cut, blurred the ink and popped them up to match the Cajun Craze card base.  The Sahara Sand panel was cut with the Stitched Rectangles Die and the circle window was created with one of the Stitched Shapes Dies.  A small piece of coordinating Cajun Craze patterned DSP was added behind the window and the sentiment from “Queen Anne’s Lace” was added to the lower right front. Some Champagne Rhinestones were added for a little bling.

This card could have been made with a straight cut rectangle and a circle punch if one did not have access to an Embossing & Cutting machine.

Stepped Up – It’s Your Day!

It’s Your Day! – Loyal Leaves

To add a little glam to this stepped-up version, I chose to use the new Copper Brushed Metallic cardstock and some of the extremely beautiful Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP.  Three leaves were stamped in Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze, fussy cut, blurred and added in a collage to the left of the Soft Suede panel.  I used the new Stitched Leaves Dies to cut and emboss the copper leaves and add the stitching to the left side of the panel.  The sentiment from “Happiest of Birthdays” was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on a scrap of Cinnamon Cider cardstock, cut with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies, toning in with the copper.  Some more Champagne Rhinestones add just enough bling.

Post the card(s) you make using the theme “Encouragement” on my Facebook Post: https://www.facebook.com/theinquespotstudio so we can all see your creativity.
