Sunday Sketch – SS015

Sunday Sketch

Sunday Sketch is another of my weekly challenges to keep you creating.  Inspiration comes from many places and sketch challenges are one of my favorite things to create with.

The design is already there.  All you need to do is decide what type of card you need, what colors you want to use and which stamp set you will use.  Then get to making the card!

There are lots of sketch challenges out in the nether world.  I am a fan of them all.  For my challenges, I found the Sunday Sketches from Patsy Waggoner.  She has been creating them for many years and I chose to start at the beginning.  Today is week 15.

Sometimes I just create to the sketch.  Other times I try to incorporate one or both of my Friday and Saturday challenges. Today, I combined all three.  Things that Fly with Black and White.

It is important to remember that a sketch is a guide and a suggestion.  Anything can be changed.  The sketch is meant to spark your imagination for creativity.  I flipped the SS015 Sketch because I thought the sentiment was better situated on the left side card.

“May You Find Peace”

Using the 3D Dandelion embossing folder, because dandelions seeds fly away with the wind, I blocked out where each panel would be and then embossed each panel separately so that they would stack correctly when I assembled the layers.

A friend passed away yesterday, so I needed to create a Sympathy card. These are not my favorite cards to make. The sentiment comes from “Here’s a Card” and is Silver embossed on Basic Black card stock. The Black and White color scheme with a touch of Silver and Gray is quite elegant and with a change of sentiment can be used for many occasions.

What will you create? Post your cards in this thread so we can all share.  Post the card(s) you make using this sketch on my Facebook Post: https://www.facebook.com/theinquespotstudio so we can all see your creativity.

Need a card? Ask me and I will create one for you.
Want the supplies to create your own, let me know and I can help you with that too!
