Crafting Forever – Love What You Do

Hello there!  Time for the Atlantic Hearts (#675) Design Team Sketch Challenge.

My design choices were influenced by the Make My Monday (#274) Hobbies theme and I am sharing with Creative Crafters (#98) Anything Goes.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The “Brick” pattern was replaced with the Paint Rollers and Paint images from the Rainbow of Thanks stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • The Paint Rollers were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the chosen Paint colors were stamped with Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Azure Afternoon inks.  The Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers were used as a neutral fill-in for the Handles.
  • The sentiment, Love what you do, from the retired Love What You Do stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The grounding Swirl, also from the Rainbow of Thanks stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink.
• Focal Image – Paint Brush Pot: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Pot image from the retired Crafting Forever stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the same set of Stampin’ Blends Markers colors and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Paint Brush Pot was popped up with Mini Dimensionals.

A fun interpretation of the sketch, keeping it simple, just stamps, ink and paper.
