Hi! We are having some work done about the house and I am unable to get into the Studio. So I thought I would share this card with you that I made a few years back.
A beautiful card is always timely and once made, can be easily made again…I think Butterflies are wonderful…so delicate but so strong…
I was playing with the following challenges: Global Design Project (#473), Just Us Girls (#755), Tuesday Morning (#784) Sketch and Krafty Chicks (#744).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shy Shamrock cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4″ x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Using the Floral Corner die from the retired Split Card Textures Dies set a Stencil Mask was made from Copy Paper.
- Using a Blending Brush and Shy Shamrock ink, the pattern was added to the corners.
- Diagonal Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock measured to (1¾”) on each side and trimmed. (Side length = 3½”).
- Diagonal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock cut on the same angles. (Side length = 3¼”).
- The Splotch image from the retired Irresistible Blooms stamp set was added with Lemon Lolly ink.
- The Panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.
- Focal Image – Butterfly: (3½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The large Butterfly image from the retired Sketched Butterflies stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and colored with the Light Shy Shamrock and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends Markers.
- The Butterfly was then die-cut with the coordinating Butterfly die from the Sketched Butterflies Dies set.
- Sentiment Label: (2⅝” x ½”) Pretty Peacock cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, You brighten up so many of my days, from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Butterfly and Sentiment were popped-up with Dimensionals.
A fresh and pretty card suitable for several occasions.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today and letting me walk down memory lane. Cheers, Jolanda!
