Spring Showers – Spring Flowers

Welcome back!  Today, I have the pleasure of being a guest designer with Ellibelle’s Corner and the current I Spy With My Little Eye options of either or both Spring Showers (#36) and Spring Flowers (#35).

I am playing along with the Retro Rubber (#267) Colors and theme and showering some love on favorite retired stamp sets.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Bubble Bath cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Accent Mat: (3¼” x 4¾”) Old Olive cardstock die-cut with the (3⅛” x 4½”) Stitched Ticket Corner die from the Branching Out Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Tulip image from the retired Blessed Easter stamp set (circa 2014) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors Chosen: Blooms – Light and Dark Bubble Bath with Light Melon Mambo; Leaves – Light and Dark Old Olive with Light Mossy Meadow; Shadows – Light Cloud Cover.
  • The sentiment, Wishing you a day of love and joy, from the retired Woven Heirlooms stamp set (circa 2019) was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then die-cut with the (2⅞” x 4¼”) Stitched Ticket Corner die from the same Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base, and a few Old Olive Moody Palette Glossy Dots, another On-Line product, were added to complete the card.

Tulips, a favorite flower, are the first flowers to pop up in my yard.  Welcome to Spring…
