Welcome to the weekend! Happy Saturday. Hoping you are able to find a little time to be creative.
Over at Ellibelle’s Corner, Ellibelle’s I Spy With My Little Eye (#34) is asking us to feature something that we love and I chose paper! I confess to being a collector of paper. Almost everywhere I go, I peruse what may be on offer and squirrel it away. I have been doing a little tidy up recently and came across a box with stuff I have had for years.
Creative Colors (#231) this week is looking for a lovely combination of Lost Lagoon, Bubble Bath and Pretty Peacock. The Vintage sheets, I chose (from where – I have no idea) seemed to fit the bill and tied in nicely with the Double D (#260304) Postage theme.
I have selected to share this card with Love Those Pretty Papers (#2603) for their Anything Goes theme.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Floral Postage patterned paper from my personal stash.
- Using a Blending Brush and Bubble Bath ink, the Ivory Roses were tinted pink.
- The sentiment, Thinking of You, from the Friendly Foliage stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
- Accent Circle Mat: Lost Lagoon cardstock scrap punched out with the (1⅞”) Circle Punch, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
- Ephemera – Butterflies: Butterfly Postage patterned paper, also from my personal stash.
- The larger Butterfly image was punched out with the (1¾”) Circle Punch, another On-Line Exclusive product and the smaller Butterfly was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base. The Butterflies were popped up with Dimensionals.
How pretty! But it sure was hard to cut into my papers. The problem of every hoarder…
