Welcome back! Happy Wednesday. Chasing a few deadlines with challenges that have a similar theme.
March is here and so is green…
Starting with: Just Us Girls (#813) to use Dies with a Twist to use the color, Green; Triple B (#2603) with a Green Twist featuring Blooms, Birds and/or Butterflies; If You Give a Crafter a Cookie (#214), again Green but selecting the sweet Floral image, and sharing with Colorful Options (#2603) for the Color of the month, Green.
Stampin’ Up! has its annual convention this coming weekend, and one of the highlights is the introduction of the new Catalog. So, I only thought it was just to highlight my 1st impression favorite from last year’s convention, the Beautiful Gallery Suite…
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (7½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
- Inside Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed (1¼”) along the right side with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder.
- Front Panel: (3” x 5¼”) Old Olive cardstock die-cut with the Open Leaf die from the Beautiful Motifs Dies set. The Leaves were curled up.
- Decoration – White Bloom: Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the Floral die from the same Dies set. Two Blooms were trimmed off.
- Sentiment Label: Mossy Meadow cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Thinking of You, from the Friendly Foliage stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder. Trimmed size (2¼” x ⅝”).
All elements were adhered to the card base. A small Bow was tied with the recently retired Old Olive Linen Thread and a few Mossy Meadow Natural Matte Dots, another On-Line Exclusive product, were added to complete the card.
I love green. I am not too fond of shamrocks and leprechauns. This is a card that can serve many occasions. Dark coloring – masculine; Simple design – sympathy; Thinking of you – for anyone!
