Lovely Arrangements – Simply Soft

Hi again!  No rest for the crafter…Saturday, a day perfectly made for creativity.

Ever a fan of clean and simple, I have created a card for Alphabet – Letter W – for Wildflowers.  A perusal through my retired stash of goodies yielded the pretty Simply Soft stamp set which I matched up to Facebook’s Global Design Project (#537) Color suggestions.

Here is the result:

SIMPLY SOFT – LOVELY ARRANGEMENTS – ACB Letter W – GDP537

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Secret Sea cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (3½” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Floral image was stamped with Secret Sea ink and then colored with the Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green Watercolor Pencils.
    • Using a Blender Pen, the colors were smoothed out for a light watercolor effect.
  • Frame Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The (2¾”) Circle opening was created with one of the Circle dies from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set, and On-Line Exclusive product.
    • The sentiment, You are so lovely, from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set, another On-Line Exclusive product was stamped with Secret Sea ink.
    • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the recently retired Pressed Flowers 3D Embossing Folder.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The embossed Frame Panel was popped up Dimensionals.

A sweet thank you card.
