Simply Said – Birthday Wishes

Welcome back!  Happy Wednesday.  Chasing a few deadlines with challenges that have a similar theme.

Starting with: Just Us Girls (#812) to use Stencils; Inkspirational (#362) to use Stencils and add a Plaid; Just Add Ink (#780) to use Stencils and/or Dies; and AAA Birthday Cards (#83) to use Dies.

That has the Tools covered, so I selected the Facebook SU! Colors (#2603) to use and chose to make a simple Fun Fold for Creative Creases (#112).

Here is the result:

SIMPLY SAID – JUGS812 – IC362 – JAI780 – AAABCB83 – SUCC2603 – CIC112

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 1” and 4¼”) Night of Navy cardstock.
  • Accent Panels #1: (2” x 5¼”) and (¾” x 5¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
  • Accent Panel #2: (1¾” x 5⅛”) Poppy Parade cardstock.
  • Decorative Panels #2a: (½” x 5⅛”) Timid Tiger Splatter patterned pieces of paper from the 2025 / 2027 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Plaid Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Using the retired Linked Together Decorative Masks, the wonky modern plaid pattern was created.
      • Using a Blending Brush with Mask #2, Timid Tiger ink applied.
      • Using another Blending Brush with Masks #1 and #3 positioned together, Poppy Parade ink was added.
    • The Panel was trimmed to (1⅝” x 5”).
  • Circle Accent Mat: (2½” x 2½”) Timid Tiger cardstock punched out with the (2¼”) Circle Punch from my Tools stash.
  • Sentiment Circle: (2¼” x 2¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, Birthday Wishes, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Poppy Parade ink and then die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

The (1”) scored flap was adhered backwards for the simple fun fold and all elements were adhered to the card.  A (3” x 5¼”) Basic White Writing Panel was added to the inside of  the card. The Sentiment Circle was popped up with Dimensionals and a few Blue-toned retired Opaque Faceted Gems were added for a bit of fun.

A fun and bright birthday card.
