Friendly Foliage – Wishing You the Best

Welcome back!  Monday and a brand-new week full of creative opportunities.

Today I am playing with: Addicted to Stamps and More (#511) to Make My Mark with coloring techniques and/or tools.

I chose the TGIF (#565) Inspiration Image, recreating it with a few stamped images and coloring tools.  Choosing the Color Dare (#691) Palette and sharing with Ellibelle’s Garden Party (#12) All Things Garden for the Early Spring Flowering Tree.

Here is the result:

SNOW FRONT – WATERFRONT – FRIENDLY FOLIAGE – ATSM511 – TGIFC565 – CD691 – EGP012

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Azure Afternoon cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.
  • Accent Mat: (3¾” x 5”) Berry Burst cardstock die-cut with the (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Stitched Arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies set, an On-line Exclusive product.
  • Focal Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Bare Tree image from the retired Snow Front stamp set was stamped twice, overlapping the images for a thicker Tree Trunk with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • Using a Blending Brush, Azure Afternoon ink was added to the “Sky” area.
    • Using another Blending Brush, Coastal Cabana ink was added to the “Grass” area.
    • Using both a Sponge Wedge and a Stiff Stipple Brush (both from my tool stash), Berry Burst ink was added to create the Floral Tree Blossoms.
    • Using both the Grounding stamp images, foreground from Snow Front and background from the retired Waterfront stamp set and Coastal Cabana ink, ground definition details were added.
    • Using my Black Liquid Gel Pen, a little shading was added under the Tree.
    • The sentiment, Wishing you the best, from the Friendly Foliage stamp set, another On-Line Exclusive product was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • Once complete, the scene was die-cut with the (3¼” x 4½”) Stitched Arch die.

All elements were adhered to the card base and a couple of Coastal Cabana colored retired Tinsel Gems were added to complete the card.

An all round nice all occasion card.
