Fabulous Sayings – Hello

Welcome back!  Happy Friday.  Where did the week go…

Today I am playing with the AAA Cards (#307) Colors for a clean and simple card, choosing the Just Add Ink (#779) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Boho Blue cardstock, retired but still in my stash.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Shimmery White cardstock, also retired but still in my stash.
  • The greeting, Hello, from the Fabulous Sayings stamp set, the Product of the Month selection for January 2026, still available, was stamped with Boho Blue ink, retired but seemed to match the lighter blue color block.
• Accent Mat: (2⅞” x 2⅞”) Boho Blue cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3¼” x 3¼”) Shimmery White cardstock trimmed to (2¾” x 2¾”).
  • Using the Polished Stone Technique, Basic Beige, Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight and Mossy Meadow inks, Clear Stamping Blocks, Cotton Balls and a bit of Water, the Panel was colored.
    • Method: Cotton Ball dabbed into the Water, dabbed into the Ink on the Block and then dabbed onto the Paper. Starting with the lightest color to the darkest.
• Decoration – Leaves: (3” x 2”) Mossy Meadow cardstock die-cut with the Leaf die from the Thankful Garden Dies set, still available as part of the Bundle, but now on the Last Chance List.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, keeping the card clean and simple.
