Fabulous Friend – Fabulous Sayings

Hi! Welcome back to Tic Tac Toe.  I am pleased to let you know that I have joined the Design Team.  Tic Tac Toe is one of my favorite challenges.  Eight possibilities and so much choice.

For the Board (#286), I selected the center column: Die Cutting, Ink Blending and Friendship to create a clean and simple card.

My design was influenced by Color Dare (#689) for the Palette; Try A Sketch On Tuesday (#688) for the Layout; and Simply Clean & Simple (#2602) with a twist to add Greenery.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Night of Navy cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Cloud Cover cardstock.
• Card Front: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Mask: (3¾” x 5”) Copy Paper die-cut with the (2” x 3¼”) Arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Shape: Using a Blending Brush and Cloud Cover ink, the supporting shape was created.
  • The sentiment, To a fabulous friend, from the Fabulous Sayings stamp set, the Product of the Month selection for January 2026, was stamped with Night of Navy ink.
• Decoration – Greenery: (3¼” x 5½”) Mossy Meadow cardstock die-cut with the large Leaf die from the Nature’s Symphony Dies set.

Keeping it simple, all elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

An all-purpose, all-occasion friendship card.
