Good Things – The Right Words

Design Team Time for both The Card Concept (#224) Inspiration Board and I chose the colors and pairing it with the Atlantic Hearts (#668) Sketch. 

My design choices were influenced by Time Out (#306) to Pick Two – Aperture and Twine and Make My Monday (#271) to use Dies.

Creating a clean, layered and graphic masculine card:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
  • An Aperture Opening was die-cut into the Panel with the (2⅜” x 2⅜”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Aperture Frame: (2½” x 2½”) Mossy Meadow cardstock die-cut with the same Stitched Square die and the (1⅞” x1⅞”) Stitched Square die from the same Dies set.
  • Linen Thread was wrapped around the right edge of the Aperture Frame.
• Aperture Inset: (2” x 2”) Basic White cardstock die-cut the smaller Stitched Square die.
  • The sentiment, I know a good thing…, from The Right Words stamp set was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
• Squares: Mossy Meadow cardstock scraps cut to create eight (1⅛” x 1⅛”) Squares.
• Decoration – Gears: Garden Green, Granny Apple Green and Soft Sea Foam cardstock scraps die-cut with several of the dies found in the Gear & Textures Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.
