Watercolor in Bloom – Loved

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday.  Hoping you are doing okay with the winter storm.  So far, we still have power and I am taking advantage of that…

Today’s card was made with the Freshly Made (#720) Sketch in mind and playing with the Watercolor in Bloom December 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit in a clean and simple style.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pool Party cardstock.
• Block: (4” x ½”) Secret Sea Two-Tone cardstock, (4” x ½”) Pool Party Two-Tone cardstock and (2” x 4”) trimmed card base from the Kit.  All pieces were hand-torn along the right edge to expose the white core and adhered together.  Final size approximately: (2½” x 4”).
• Shapes – Flowers: Five Ephemera pieces from the Kit were selected.
  • The edges of the White Flowers were colored with Lost Lagoon ink applied with a Sponge Dauber and using the now retired Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Write Marker, Dots were added to the Flower Centers.
• Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, You make me feel loved, from the Watercolor in Bloom stamp set was also stamped with Lost Lagoon ink and trimmed to (2⅝” x ⅜”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Leaf elements were adhered in place, and the Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals. 

I like that the card has a slight masculine feel due to the color choices even though there are a few floral elements and I chose not to add extra bling. However, a few jewels can certainly be added.
