The Gang’s All Here to Say Hello

Welcome back!  It’s Saturday and I hope you have some time to be creative this weekend.

I am playing with a new challenge called Pick 3.  The first one of many…

Additional challenges that influenced my design choices include: Can You Handle The Pressure (#260124) with an All-White twist and CAS on Friday (#326) with a Monochrome color scheme.

Sharing this card with Alphabet (Letter T) for Texture and Addicted To Stamps & More (#509) Any Occasion.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White Thick cardstock die-cut with the (4¼” x 3”) Rectangle die from the retired Deckled Rectangles Dies set.
  • The full die-cut Panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder.
  • The resultant embossed frame was adhered to the card base, and the embossed inset was popped up with Dimensionals.
• Focal Image – Birds: (5½” x 2”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the Bird die from Kokorosa, that I received as a gift.  The Birds were also popped up with Mini Dimensionals.
• Sentiment Circle: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The word, Hello, from the Perfectly Pears stamp set, still available but now on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (1”) Circle die from the retired Deckled Circles Dies set and popped up with another Dimensional.

A clean white on white monochromatic design using some texture to define the images and layers for a nice hello card.
