Weekend Adventures – Love This Place

Design Team Time for The Card Concept (#223b), giving you an additional Inspiration Photo and a set of Colors more geared to Valentine’s Day.

For my clean layered styled card, I opted for the Love Nest theme and general Color scheme for my Winter Get-Away design utilizing a recycled Holiday card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, love this place, from the Weekend Adventure stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder and then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Side Strip: (1½” x 5½”) Cherry Cobbler cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Happy Hearts Embossing Folder and trimmed to “two hearts” wide – approximately (1⅜” x 5¼”)
• Accent Mat: (3¼” x 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Focal Panel: Recycled Holiday card, Cute Winter Cottage, trimmed to (3⅛” x 4⅛”).

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The matted Focal Panel was popped up with Dimensionals.

You can easily imagine that the counter decoration is sitting in this sweet cottage booked for a valentine get-away.
