Design Team Time for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#663). Lots of neat elements in this sketch and I went with a fun and playful interpretation.

My design was influenced by: We Love Stamping (#2601) to play with something new (patterned paper & stamp set); Shopping Our Stash (#564) to play with something that was free and I worked with a gifted stamp set that I received for participating in another challenge; and Crafter’s Café (#325) to use yellow.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Daffodil Delight cardstock.
- Background Panel: (3¼” x 4½”) Secret Sea Two-Tone cardstock (dark side).
- Blocks: (4” x 4”) Color Block (Daffodil Delight, Timid Tiger and Pretty in Pink Watercolor) patterned piece of paper from the Splash of Sparkle Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, an new On-Line Exclusive product. The Color Blocking was then trimmed with Paper Snips.
- Note: Daffodil Delight = Vertical Strip; Timid Tiger and Pretty in Pink = Square Frame.
- Frame – Circle & Bow: The Circle Frame image from the Spellbinders A Little Bird Told Me stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Focal Image – Bird: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Bird image, from the same stamp set, was stamped directly into the Circle Frame and onto the cardstock scrap.
- The Bird image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Light and Dark Daffodil Delight and Timid Tiger with Dark Pretty in Pink and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- Horizontal Strip: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Banner Flag image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, as was the sentiment, You make my heart sing, from the same stamp set and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- Decoration – Flowers: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Floral Cluster image, again from the same stamp set, was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the Dark Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink and Timid Tiger Stampin’ Blends Markers and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble a variation of the sketch. The Bird, Sentiment and Flowers were all popped up with Dimensionals.
