Happy Christmas – Gift of Joy

Welcome back!  Crunch time…I must get ready for the holidays.  Company is coming…so this may be one of the last posts before Christmas.  Not sure how much time I will have to sneak into the Studio…

The challenges: Inspiration Station (#80) Cozy Christmas Inspiration Photo; Little Red Wagon (#838), a Christmas Card; and Shopping Our Stash (#563) to employ Embossing Technique(s).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Mossy Meadow Two-Tone cardstock (light side) dry-embossed with the Beautiful Pattern 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product, lightly sanded to bring out the white core details.
• Accent Mat: (3⅛” x 4⅛”) Early Espresso cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3” x 4”) Trimmed recycled Holiday Card.
• Sentiment Label: Basic Beige cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Happy Christmas, from the Gift of Joy stamp set, now on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink and trimmed to (2” x ⅜”).

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The Focal Panel and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.  A few Pressed Floral Motifs embellishments were added for antique charm.

I am fond of Sepia tones, and I think this is a lovely card, suitable for a fellow but great for anyone that likes a bit of nostalgia.  Wishing you all a very Merry!
