Design Time: For the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#541) Sketch. Today’s card can be found on page 58 of the September 2025 – December 2026 Mini Catalog.

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things. You are welcome to choose how you create.
I was feeling nostalgic as the Last Chance List was updated today and I took a dive into my stash of retired favorites for the Paper Players (#766) Tic Tac Toe Board and Little Red Wagon (#835) for the sparkly bits.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock edged with Pecan Pie ink applied with a Sponge Dauber for an antique look.
- Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Poppy Parade Brocade patterned piece of paper from the retired Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper pack.
- Decorative Edging: (1¼” x 4”) Poppy Parade & Very Vanilla Floral patterned pieces of paper from the same Paper pack die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- Accent Circle: (3¼” x 3¼”) Poppy Parade cardstock, also die-cut with the same (3”) Stitched Circle die.
- Cross Strip: (5” x ⅜”) retired Diamond Weave Ribbon.
- Focal Circle: (3” x 3”) Very Vanilla cardstock die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- The sentiment, A good friend is a gift, from the Perfectly Pears stamp set, just added to the Last Chance List, was stamped with Pecan Pie ink. The edge of the circle was also antiqued with the Sponge Dauber.
- Decoration – Floral Medallion: Fussy-cut with Paper Snips from the reverse side of the Brocade patterned paper.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. Both the Sentiment Circle and the Floral Medallion were popped up with Dimensionals. Several Loose Gold Sequins, retired Jewels Basic Pearls and Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for maximum bling. Oh, my!
A pretty vintage styled friendship card (with patterned paper from 2012). There is not much left in this hoarded package…
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

I love seeing old favorites make a comeback on cards, love that DSP! That diamond weave ribbon is such a great vintage touch too, reminds me of some old crocheted things my mom has. Thanks for playing along with us at The Paper Players!

That’s a lovely layout, Jolanda! Nice to see the older items out and playing – it’s not as if they disappear in a puff of smoke once they retire! I’ll be hanging on to Perfectly Pears for certain. Thanks for joining in with us again at The Paper Players.
