Festive Christmas

Welcome back! It has been a busy day and I am just getting a chance to get this card we made in class today posted.

Design influences: Ellibelle’s I Spy (#32) Something Festive; choosing the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#539) Sketch; picking up the Cupcake Inspirations (#631) colors of Maroon and Gold and sharing with Colorful Options (#1125).

Here is the result:

REASON FOR THE SEASON – EIS032 – CT539 – CIC631 – COC1125

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Textured Metallic Specialty Paper – Gold Color.
  • Background Panel (3¾” x 5”) Real Red cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Banner: (1½” x 4¼”) Red & Gold patterned piece of paper from the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper hand notched with Paper Snips.
  • Block: (2½” x 2”) Real Red Two-Tone cardstock (dark side) hand torn on all four edges.
    • The sentiment, A very merry Christmas to you, from the retired Reason for the Season stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder. (This did not photograph very well but looks really pretty in real life).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and a few retired golden Low Profile Dots were added for some Holiday sparkle.

A pretty Christmas card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
