Feathery Friends – Get Well

Welcome back!  Having a bit of fun this Thursday afternoon…

Playing with the following challenges: Double Trouble (#203) 3-2-1 for Round Shapes, Images and Twine with a Bird Twist; Cupcake Inspirations (#630) for a Get Well card and choosing the happy bright and pick-me-up colors suggested by Color Dare (#675).

Here is the result:

FEATHERY FRIENDS – RINGED IN NATURE – DT203 – CIC630 – CD675

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Blueberry Bushel cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the new Beautiful Pattern Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Round Shapes: (3” x 2¼”) Granny Apple Green, Blueberry Bushel and Melon Mambo cardstocks die-cut with the larger Swirl die from the new Swirled Designs Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Focal Images – Birds: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The two Bird images from the retired Feathery Friends stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • The Birds were colored with the light Granny Apple Green, Blueberry Bushel and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends Markers and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Twine: (10”) White Baker’s Twine was colored with the dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • Sentiment: (2⅛” x ½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, Get Well Soon, from the retired Ringed in Nature stamp set was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The Birds and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.

These colors and friendly birds are sure to perk up someone who is a little under the weather.
