Welcome back! Monday again and the start of a brand-new week.
My card today is finishing up a few challenges that still linger re: Halloween…
My design choices were influenced by: Little Red Wagon (#831) to create a card with a light source; Ellibelle’s I Spy (#31) with a spooky theme; Stampin’ Up! Only (#388) for the colors from the inspiration photo; and bringing it all together with the current Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#682) layout.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (11½” x 4¼” scored at 5½” and 6¼”) Blackberry Bliss cardstock for a Book Bind Fold.
- Left Side Panel: (1” x 4”) Lemon Lolly cardstock.
- The sentiment, Be Scary, from the retired Holiday Invitations stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
- Right Side Panel: (4” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
- Using Blending Brushes, Daffodil Delight, Timid Tiger, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape and Basic Gray inks were added to create the light source coloring and background.
- The Raven image from the retired Among the Branches stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink (after the Lantern was adhered in place).
- Focal Images – Lanterns: (4” x 4”) Basic Black cardstock die-cut with the Lantern die from the retired Lighting the Way Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and a piece of the retired Large Check Ribbon was added to the Right Side Panel completing the card.
Even when camping and you are making your way back to the tent, it can be scary…the birds caw, the wind whispers and imaginations can run wild!
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
