Design Time: For the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#531) Sketch.
My design choices were influenced by: Festive Friday (#193) opting to use Patterned Paper, Rhinestones, Sentiment, Punch and a Coloring Technique and the Just Us Girls (#793) Mood Board for the Fall Motif and Orange Color.
I am sharing this card with Can You Handle The Pressure (#25SEP13) Embossing with a Layers Twist and Love To Craft (#88) Anything Goes.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Old Olive cardstock.
- Background Panel (4” x 5¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock dry-embossed with the Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder.
- The embossed Leaf pattern was highlighted with White Craft ink brushed on with a Sponge Dauber.
- Blocks: (3” x 1¾”) Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow Plaid patterned pieces of paper from the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- Shape: (3¼” x 3¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
- The Citrus Wreath image from the Joyful Tidings stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and dry-colored with Watercolor Pencils. Colors chosen: Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Garden Green and Early Espresso.
- The Wreath was then die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- Sentiment: Mossy Meadow cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, You’ve been on my mind, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The Sentiment was then punched out with retired (1⅝” x 1⅛”) Hexagon Punch and the edges were sponged with White Craft ink.
- Colored Embellishments: Several Rhinestone Basic Jewels were colored with the Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends Marker to coordinate with the focal image and the patterned paper.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and the colored Jewels were scattered about.
