Fanciful Fragrance – You are the Best

Design Time: For the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#530) Sketch and the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#472) Color Palette. 

For my subject, I selected the Just Us Girls (#792) Word Prompt: Container.  I could have picked so many different containers but nostalgia brought me to perfume bottles.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Top & Bottom Torn Edges: (4” x 3”) Two-Tone Pretty Peacock cardstock torn in half exposing the white core.
  • The light side was used at the top and the dark side was used at the bottom.
  • The sentiment, You are seriously the best, from the Textured Notes stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Center Panel: (4” x 4½”) Two-Tone Darling Duckling cardstock, light side, also torn across the bottom to expose the white core.
  • The Flower and Perfume Bottles images from the retired Fanciful Fragrance stamp set were stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
  • Using the Light Timid Tiger and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends Markers, touches of color were added.
  • The Panel was then dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and a few Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling 2025/2027 in-Color Flat Pearls were added for a bit of bling.

A quick and easy simple stamping card.

Such pretty containers.  Do you keep empty perfume bottles as keepsakes?  I do.  I have some from both my mother and grandmother.  Taking off the caps and catching the scent takes me right back to wonderful memories.
