Life’s Adventure – Candle with Care

Hi again!  A pretty pink birthday card for you this afternoon…

The challenges: Paper Players (#754) Food, Glorious Food; Park Hopping (#0925) Delicious Sweets to be had in all Play Parks; AAA Birthday (#77) with a little Attitude; and bringing it all together with the current Freshly Made (#703) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Strawberry Slush cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Shape – Cake: The Whimsical Cake image from the retired Life’s Adventure stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Bubble Bath, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush and Light Blackberry Bliss for the Cake Stand.
  • The sides of the Panel were then dry-embossed with the Glass Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product, for a bit of texture and interest.
• Arch Frame: (3” x 4¼”) Strawberry Slush cardstock double die-cut with the (2¼” x 3½”) and (2⅝” x 3⅞”) Arch dies from the Everyday Arches Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product. –
• Sentiment Banners: Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiments, Candle with Care and Best Birthday Wishes were computer generated and printed on to a sheet of Basic White cardstock and die-cut with the (2¾” x ⅝”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Both Banners were colored with the Dark Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends Marker.

All elements were then adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Banners were popped up with Dimensionals.

A fun little girly birthday card with a bit of snark…
