Rustic Centerpiece – Blank Note Card

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday.

I have a lovely Fall themed card for you this morning.  I chose to leave it blank so it could be used for any occasion.

The challenges: Inspired By (#352) Apples; Triple B (September) Sunflowers; Four Seasons (September) Fall including Sunflowers; and Paper Craft Crew (#637) for their Fall theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Early Espresso and Gray Granite Striped Leaf patterned piece of paper from the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper pack.
• Supporting Shape – Arch: (3” x 4¼”) Gray Granite cardstock die-cut with the (2⅝” x 3⅞”) Stitched Arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Focal Image: (3” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Sunflower and Apples image from the Rustic Centerpiece stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with retired Pebbled Path ink for a softer outline.
  • The image was colored with Watercolor Pencils.  Colors chosen: Leaves – Old Olive and Granny Apple Green; Eucalyptus – Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green; Sunflower Petals – Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie; Sunflower Centers – A soft brown (personal collection) and Early Espresso; Milk Can – Basic White and Basic Gray; Apples – Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Cherry Cobbler; Wood Slice – Early Espresso and the Soft Brown.
  • The image was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were then adhered to the card base.

I like how it turned out.
