Prairie Grass – Sent with Love

This week at Just Add Ink (#766), the brief is to create a One-Layer card with only Stamps and/or Stencils.  Clean and Simple – a favorite style of mine.

Design decisions were influenced by Facebook’s Stampin’ Through The Catalog stamp set choice for today, Prairie Grass and Facebook’s SU! Colour (August) palette.

I hope my card inspires you and I look forward to seeing what you will create with stamps and/or stencils.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Stencil / Mask: (4¼” x 5½”) Copy Paper die-cut with the (1¾” x 3⅛”) Ticket Corner Rectangle die from the Branching Out Dies set, a new product available in the upcoming September – December Mini Catalog.
• Card Front:
  • Using the Mask and Blending Brushes, Lemon Lolly, Timid Tiger and Old Olive inks were blended for the background.
  • The Grass image from the Prairie Grass stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, as was the Bird image from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set, another On-Line Exclusive Product.
  • The sentiment, Sent with lots of Love, from the new Branching Out stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

And we are done!  A very nice love/sympathy card.
