Mediterranean Blues – Celebrate

Design Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#527) Sketch. Today’s card can be found on page 34 of the May 2025 – Apr 2026 Annual Catalog. 

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it exactly the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create.  I decided to flip the sketch to the vertical position.

Influences: Inspired By (#350) Blue and White Ceramics; Time Out (#295) Blue Water – Blue Sky – White Boat; and Park Hopping (August) Resort Time – Sparkling Blue Water and White Accents.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Navy and White Floral Diamond patterned piece of paper from the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper pack, still available but on the Last Chance List.
• Vertical Accent Mat: (1¾” x 5¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
• Vertical Strip: (1½” x 5¼”) Floral Tile patterned piece of paper, also from the same paper pack.
• Shape – Circle: (2¾” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (2⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Decoration – Large Floral Tile fussy-cut with Paper Snips from another patterned piece of paper from the same paper pack.
• Sentiment Banner: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, celebrate, from the recently retired Unbounded Love stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy ink and die-cut with the (2¼” x ⅝”) Stitched Banner die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the flipped sketch with both the Floral Circle and Sentiment Banner popped up with Dimensionals.

Blue and White – such a fresh combination especially when it is a Mediterranean Tile – so summery!
