Just My Type – Hello

Design Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#526) Sketch. Today’s card can be found on page 79 of the May 2025 – Apr 2026 Annual Catalog. 

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it exactly the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create.  I decided to create a more graphic card.

Influences: Inspired By (#349) Desk Top theme and colors and sharing with Crafter’s Café (#322) and Love Those Pretty Papers (#14) both of which are sporting the use of patterned papers.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Circles: (2” x 8”) Black and White Graphic patterned pieces of paper from both the retired Designer Series Paper packs: Friendly Hello (Cross Hatch) and Rock & Roll (Mini Abstract Squares) die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The Circles were adhered to the background panel to resemble the sketch.
• Decoration – Typewriter: Basic White cardstock scraps
  • The Typewriter image from the retired Just My Type stamp set was stamped with Coastal Cabana ink and the Curled Paper Page and Flower images, from the same stamp set, were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Flowers were colored with the Light Flirty Flamingo and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • Using a Journaling Pen, I doodled black lines onto the Typewriter.
  • The Typewriter was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment – Typewriter Keys: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • Using the H-E-L-L-O image, again from the same stamp set, the Letters were stamped with Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly and Coastal Cabana inks and individually punched out with a (¾”) Circle Punch.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with both the Typewriter and Sentiment Circle popped up with Dimensionals.
