Medley Mix – Beautiful Birthday

Welcome back!  Sunday…is it your day of creativity?  I have a soft and pretty floral birthday card for you today.

Playing with the Just Add Ink (#764) Choose Two: Pearls & Pastels, selecting the palette suggested by Facebook’s Colour INKpiration (#193) and adding a Floral element for The Flower Challenge (#105) incorporating chosen Embellishments.

Additionally, I am choosing the Retro Rubber (#261) Tic Tac Toe Board Line: Die-Cuts; Stencil; and Gems along with the Just Us Girls (#788) Word: Birthday to complete my card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Using a Blending Brush and the Cross Diamond Patterned stencil from the retired Foursquare Decorative Masks set, Balmy Blue ink was applied.
• Grounding Panel: (3” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (2⅞” x 4⅛”) Arch die from the Everyday Arches Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the retired Medley Mix stamp set (circa 2012) was stamped with Highland Heather ink in the lower left corner.
• Die-Cuts – Floral Elements: Cloud Cover and Highland Heather cardstock.
  • The Leafy die and the Floral die from the Beautiful Motifs Dies set were die-cut and arranged on the Arch.
• Embellishments: Cloud Cover Faux Line Ribbon was cut in half and tied into a small Bow and several Purple Fine Shimmer Gems and a few blue-toned Pearls, from the retired Adhesive Backed Pearl Trio, were added for some bling.

A lovely little birthday card.
