Thankful Garden – You Make a Difference

Design Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#523) Sketch. Today’s card can be found on page 52 of the May 2025 – Apr 2026 Annual Catalog. 

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it exactly the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create. 

Influences: Love Those Pretty Papers (#13) and Festive Friday (#189).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Darling Duckling cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3½” x 5”) Small Yellow Floral patterned piece of paper from the Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper pack.
• Frame: (3” x 4½”) Darling Duckling Grid patterned piece of paper from the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with both the (2¾” x 4¼”) and (1¾” x 3¼”) Decorative Rectangle dies from the Textured Notes Dies set.
• Shape – Flowers: Yellow Mums patterned piece of paper from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper pack.  Two Mums were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Blocks: Old Olive cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, You make a difference, from the Thankful Garden stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder, trimmed and snipped apart.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Hard to see, but a liberal dose of Wink of Stella Glitter was brushed onto the Flowers and a few Golden sparkly Low Profile Dots were added.  The Sentiment Blocks and the top Flower were popped up with Dimensionals.

A lovely friendship card showcasing beautifully coordinating patterned papers that bring the card to life.
