Beautifully Penned Florals – A Good Friend

Hi again!  Ever a fan of clean and simple, I have a quick card for you today for a few challenges that end this afternoon.

The Flower Challenge (#104) with a pretty colored inspiration photo and TGIF (#534) to use a White Gel Pen.

I selected the Freshly Made (#696) Sketch to complete my design.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Peach Pie cardstock.
• Accent Strip: (1⅝” x 5⅛”) Black and White Grid patterned piece of paper from the retired All Together Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Using a White Gel Pen, the Dots were added to the Squares.
• Focal Panel: (2½” x 3¾”) Black and White Floral patterned piece of paper from the retired Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Flowers and Leaves were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light Tahitian Tide (retired), Light Timid Tiger, Light and Dark Peach Pie.
  • Accents were added with the White Gen Pen.  Dots on the Flowers and Lines on the Leaves.
• Sentiment Banner: Basic Black cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, A good friend is a gift, from the Perfectly Pears stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (2⅛” x ⅞”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals. 

A quick and pretty floral friendship card.
