Tasty Trucks – You’re The Sweetest

Design Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#522) Sketch. Today’s card can be found on page 36 of the May 2025 – Apr 2026 Annual Catalog. 

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it exactly the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create. 

CAS (clean and simple) Design influences: Paper Players (#747) for the Subject; CAS Colours & Sketches (#565) for the Palette; and Krafty Chicks (#777) for their CAS week.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3¼” x 4½”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
  • The Truck image from the retired Tasty Trucks stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink just off edge.
• Shape – Ice Cream Truck: (3¼” x 2¼”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.
  • The Truck, Ice Cream Cones and Sentiment – You’re The Sweetest images, from the same stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen; Truck – Light Daffodil Delight; Window Frames and Bumper – Dark Granny Apple Green; Awning – Light Strawberry Slush, Dark Granny Apple Green and Light Daffodil Delight; Ice Cream – Light Strawberry Slush; Cones – Light Pecan Pie; Vent, Windows and Headlight – Light Balmy Blue; and Wheels – Light and Dark Smoky Slate.
  • The Truck was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips and popped up with Dimensionals.
