Summer Tropics – Best Wishes

Design Team Time: This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#467), we have a very versatile sketch.

Design influences: As You See It (#351) for the Colors and Floral Inspiration Photo; Tic Tac Toe (#274) for Foliage, Layers, Flowers; Park Hopping (July) for the Tropical Setting in the Park; and sharing with Just Us Girls (#782) to use Dies creating with Summer Things.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The bottom (2”) of the panel was dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to represent the bottom block.
• Central Block: (3¼” x 4”) Garden Green cardstock.
  • The top area was die-cut with the Square Leaf die from the retired Tropical Thinlits Dies set.
  • The sentiment, Best Wishes, from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Ribbon Element: (10”) Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon, still available but on the Last Chance List, was ironed in half and used to create the strip with a Faux Bow tied to the left.
• Decoration – Tropical Blossoms: Peach Pie and Melon Mambo cardstock scraps die-cut with two Floral dies from the retired Botanical Builder Framelits Dies set.

All the elements were adhered and arranged to resemble the sketch.  Two Blooms were popped up with Mini Dimensionals.

A pretty summer floral birthday card.
