Welcome back! Are you still in holiday mode? Were the fireworks spectacular?
Happy Saturday and a full slate of companion challenges…
Inspiration: Double Trouble (#194) and their 3-2-1 Recipe (Red, White plus one color – Blue for 3 colors; at least 2 shapes; and try a fun fold) partnering with Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#673) and Creative Creases (#105).

Influences: Shopping Our Stash (#551) Red, White & Blue; Double D (#070225) Flower Pots; Critter Crazy (#100) Birthday Celebration; and Inkspirational (#345) Three of the Same.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼” and 2⅛”) Basic White cardstock for a simple Z-Fold card.
- Front Side Panel: (2” x 5⅜”) Tahitian Tide Dashed patterned piece of paper from the retired 2022/2024 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
- Bottom Side Panel: (2¼” x 5⅜”) Sweet Sorbet Dotted patterned piece of paper from the same Paper pack.
- Shapes – Circles: (2½” x 11”) Basic White cardstock.
- Three Pretty Kitty images from the retired Pretty Kitty stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Kitty – Light Smoky Slate; Flowers – Light and Dark Sweet Sorbet; Flower Pot, Butterfly and Bows – Light and Dark Tahitian Tide; and Leaves – Light Soft Sea Foam.
- The sentiment, Birthday Cheer to you all year, from the retired Parcels & Petals stamp set, was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Additionally, a few Flowers were added to the Talking Kitty and the Sentiment and colored the same. This was done with a bit of Post-It-Note Masking and Strategic Inking.
- All three Pretty Kitty images and the Sentiment were die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the Z-Fold card base to resemble the sketch. The Flower Pot Pretty Kitty was popped up with Dimensionals.

What a sweet card, Jolanda! I love how you used those kitties in your circles – perfect way to use smaller images. I still have that stamp set and need to ink it up again. Everything about this card is perfect: the color choices, the patterned papers, the adorable kitties, the coloring, the layout and use of fun fold! The cats look so much more innocent than the 2 that live in my house… I love your card and admire your talent! Thank you for sharing at the Double Trouble challenge.
