Festive Framing – Timeless Tidings

Welcome back!  Wednesday and I found some time after class to create this sweet little holiday card.

The challenges: Jingle Belles (#2513) Festive Frames; Paper Players (#744) Tic Tac Toe Board – Flowers, Die Cut and Embossing selecting the Color Dare (#657) Palette.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shy Shamrock cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
• Frame: (3” x 3”) Calypso Coral cardstock die-cut with the (2¾”) Radiating Stitched Circle die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Frame Inset: (3” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Season’s Greetings, from the Decorative Trees stamp set, also and On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped first into Versamark ink and then Shy Shamrock ink and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder using the Clear Color Embossing Technique and then punched out with the (2⅜”) Circle Punch, another On-Line Exclusive product.
• Decoration – Poinsettias and Holly: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Poinsettia and Holly images were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Poinsettia – Light and Dark Calypso Coral and Dark Daffodil Delight; Holly – Light and Dark Shy Shamrock and Dark Calypso Coral.
  • The Poinsettia and Holly were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were arranged and adhered to the card base with the central Poinsettia popped up with Dimensionals.

A clean and simple floral holiday card.
