Perfectly Pears – Good Friend

Welcome back!  Welcome to Wednesday…

Back to clean and simple for a few challenges this morning.  Claire’s Paper Players (#742) featuring a Fruit theme; CAS Colours & Sketches (#562) Nine-Block layout; and choosing the Creative Colours (#198) Palette.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (5” x 3¾”) Coastal Cabana Painted Stripes patterned piece of paper from the 2025/2026 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Nine-Block: Basic White scraps die-cut with the (2” x 1”) Scalloped Hexagon die from the Mixed Labels Dies set.
  • The edges of the Die-Cuts were colored with Pretty in Pink ink applied with a Sponge Dauber.
  • The sentiment, A good friend is a gift, from the Perfectly Pears stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product sneak peek available in July, was stamped onto one of the die-cuts.
• Decoration – Pears: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Pears Outline image was stamped with Coastal Cabana ink.
  • The Pears in-Fill image was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink.  The stamp was cleaned, and a bit of Pretty in Pink ink was added with the Sponge Dauber to the bottom edges and then stamped again overtop to add the blush.
  • The Leaves and Stem were colored with a Fine-Tipped Craft Paint Brush with both Coastal Cabana and Pretty in Pink inks taken up from the Ink Pad Lid and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the rectangles set on the diagonal.  The Pears were popped up with Dimensionals.

A soft and pretty clean and simple friendship card.
