Design Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#517) Sketch. Today? The card can be found on page 41 of the May 2025 – Apr 2026 Annual Catalog. This is a lovely Slim Line card. Not such a fun of this style, I decided to create a horizontal A2 card.
CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it exactly the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things. You are welcome to choose how you create.

What I like…the bright colored strips and general layout.
Other design influences: Make My Monday (#254) Butterfly theme; Color Dare (#655) for the Colors and Butterfly photo; Inspired By (#340) Bright Colored Standing Freezie Pops; and sharing with If You Give a Crafter a Cookie (#205) for the Bright Rainbow Colors.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
- Block Strips: (1” x 3¾”)
- Garden Green Floral patterned piece of paper from the retired 2024/2025 Regals Collection Designer Series Paper.
- Flirty Flamingo Smoosh; Azure Afternoon Leaf; Granny Apple Green Smoosh; and Melon Mambo Floral patterned pieces of paper from the 2025/2026 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
- Sentiment Banner: (5” x 1”) Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment, Time to Celebrate, from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Azure Afternoon ink and hand-notched with Paper Snips.
- Shape Decoration – Butterflies – Basic White cardstock scraps.
- The small Butterfly from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, and the larger Butterfly from the Spotlight on Nature stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, were both stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- The Butterflies were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Small Butterfly – Light and Dark Azure Afternoon and Large Butterfly – Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo and Light Melon Mambo.
- Wink of Stella Glitter ink was liberally applied to the Butterfly Wings, but it is hard to see it in the photo, and then the Butterflies were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Butterflies were popped up with Dimensionals.
Summer is the perfect time to celebrate…
I am looking forward to seeing what you will create with the Case-ing Tuesday sketch.

What a great combination of DSP to create your rainbow of colors. The two butterflies are beautiful, and they most certainly shine in person with Wink of Stella. Thank you for joining our butterfly challenge. I hope to see you in the gallery for our next MMM challenge. Sue – DT
