Woof! – Christmas Scottie

Welcome back!  Wishing you a wonderful Sunday and hoping you find some time to be creative…

Having a play with Festive Friday (#186) and their World Pet Memorial Day theme and list selection creating a Masculine Hello card for Crafter’s Café (#320).

I selected the Freshly Made (#690) Sketch to bring my choices together.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Top Panel: (4” x 2”) Gray/Brown Plaid patterned piece of paper from the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Bottom Panel: (4” x 3½”) Linen patterned piece of paper from the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper pack, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Cross Strip: (4” x ½”) Dark Wood patterned piece of paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack.
• All these pieces were adhered to the card front and then an aperture was die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Aperture Frame: (3¼” x 3¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock double die-cut with both the (3”) and (2½”) Stitched Circle dies from the same Dies set and then adhered to the card front.
• Focal Image – Dog: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Sitting Scottie Dog image from the retired Christmas Scottie stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
  • The Neck Ribbon image was added and stamped with Smoky Slate ink.
  • The Scottie Dog was then fussy cut with Paper Snips.
• Aperture Inset: (3” x 3”) Basic White cardstock also die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die.
  • The word/sentiment/greeting, Woof!, was stamped with Smoky Slate ink.
• The resultant card front die-cut Circle was adhered inside the card and the Aperture Inset was also adhered in place and the Scottie Dog was popped up with Dimensionals.

All in all, a cute hello card for a dog friendly guy.
