Beautiful Motifs – Floral Just a Note Card

Welcome back!  Happy Saturday…

Morning Studio time with the following challenges: Freshly Made (#689) Sketch with a Square Layout; Just Add Ink (#754) Pick Two: Flowers & Dies; CAS Colours & Sketches (#561) Palette; and Double D (#060425) to include a Frame.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4¼” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Inset Panel: (2¼” x 2¼”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (1⅞” x 1⅞”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The two pieces were adhered together and die-cut with the Pattern of Friendship Die, an On-Line Exclusive product, to create a little background interest and trimmed to (4⅛” x 4⅛”).
• Frame: (2½” x 2½”) Blueberry Bushel cardstock double die-cut with both the (2⅜” x 2⅜”) and (1⅞” x 1⅞”) Stitched Square dies, from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Decoration – Floral Spray: Pretty Peacock and Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Pretty Peacock scrap was die-cut with Double Leaf die from the Unbounded Love Dies set, available as an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • The Basic White scrap strip was colored with Gorgeous Grape ink applied with a Blending Brush and then die-cut with both the small and larger Flower dies from the Happy Hibiscus Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Sentiment Label: Gorgeous Grape Ink Blended scrap.
  • The sentiment, just a note, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the small Label die from the Mixed Labels Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Both the Layered Flowers and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.  Three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were added to the Flowers for a bit of sparkle.
