Along These Lines – Friends

Hi again!  A funny thing happens when you have stamps and materials on your worktable from the last designed card and you have a list of challenges that are next on your to do list…sparks of creativity!

Another quick clean and simple card…this time for a friend.

I am playing with Alphabet (Letter D) for Dogs; Facebook’s Global Design Project (#499) Animal theme; Critter Crazy (#99) all things Animal; choosing the Color Dare (#654) Palette adding Crumb Cake, and sharing with Addicted to Stamps & More (#494) Any Occasion and what better occasion than to send a friend some love…

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Card Front: (5” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Dog Line Drawing image from the Along These Lines stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Heart Line Drawing image was linked to the Dog.
  • The Short Line image was added to the left above and below the Dog.
  • The sentiment, happy we are friends, from the Spring Corners stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product was added to the top right corner.
  • The Long Line image was added at the top and bottom left side.
  • The Short Line image was added right side below friends and to the bottom linking to the Long Line.
  • Using my 05 Fine-Tipped Black Permanent Marker, the gaps were hand-drawn to complete the linking. (Upper Left / Lower Right / Heart to Edge).
  • The Dog and the Heart were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Dog – Light and Dark Crumb Cake; Dog’s Nose and the Heart – Dark Bubble Bath and Dark Flirty Flamingo.

Add card front to card base and we are done!

That little pooch is so darn cute.
