Simply Said – Let’s Celebrate

Design Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#515) Sketch. Today?  The card can be found on page 41 of the May 2025 – Apr 2026 Annual Catalog.

The card sample was far too fussy for me, so I stripped it down to the essential elements choosing the Creative Colour (#196) Palette and a detailed piece of patterned paper to make up for all the die-cuts.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Card Front: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Black & White Leafy patterned piece of paper from the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • The paper design was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Background – Light Pool Party; Open Leaves – Light and Dark Summer Splash; Skinny Shaded Leaves – Light Shaded Spruce; and Fuller Shaded Leaves – Light Lost Lagoon.
• Sentiment Banner: Basic Black cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Let’s Celebrate, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and trimmed on the diagonal.  Finished Size: (4” x ⅝”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Sentiment Banner was popped up with Dimensionals.

Now, what shall we celebrate?
