Welcome back! Happy Sunday. Hoping you find some time to be creative…
Today I am playing with a few challenges: Double Trouble (#192) Sun Fun and the 3-2-1 Recipe and Twist partnering with the Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#671) Layout which I flipped.

Influences: Four Seasons (June), the first of the Summer trio and selecting the Color Throwdown (#833) Palette to tie everything together.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) made up of two cut Card Bases (one a Sandy Crumb Cake Beach and the other a Pool Party Watery Swirl) from the retired Boho Beach Kit torn and rearranged (four pieces in total).
- Decoration (1) – Chair & Sun Shade: Pool Party Beach Chair and Basic White Sun Shade from the Boho Beach Kit.
- The Sun Shade was colored with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend Marker and a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock was cut with Paper Snips to fit in behind the Umbrella.
- Decoration (2) – Beach Ball & Flip Flops: Poppy Parade and Pool Party cardstock scraps.
- Using dies from the Summer Tier Tray Dies set from Brutus Monroe (that was gifted to me), the pieces for the Ball and the Flip Flops were die-cut and assembled.
- Sentiment Block: Basic White and Poppy Parade cardstock scraps.
- With dies from the same Dies set, the Accent Mat and the Word: Summer were die-cut.
All elements were adhered to the card base to create the Summer Beach Scene. The Chair was popped up with Dimensionals.
The first of June…the first day of Summer…

Jolanda, what a great card that meets all the requirements of both TSOT and our sister challenge, Double Trouble! You were clever to switch the torn paper edges around to accommodate your beach chair… it works perfectly!! I love the papers you chose for both the waves and the sandy beach, and you even got the flip flops in there!!! Thank you so much for sharing your creative talents once again with us! -Donna

Wow, love your creativity with our TSOT sketch and using the DTC 3-2-1 recipe. I’m on my way with my Pepsi to sit on the beach to take in the scenery. Beautiful card. Thanks for sharing.

Waves are a great way to incorporate torn edges onto a card. Your beach scene looks so inviting. I could spend some time there. Thanks for joining us at Try A Sketch On Tuesday.
