Under the Sea – Thanks

Welcome back!  Happy Saturday…

Sometimes you just have to take a dive into your treasures…and that is what I did for this card.

Over at The Male Room (#198), the theme is Under the Sea, and I selected the Freshly Made (#688) Sketch to bring my idea(s) together.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Brilliant Blue cardstock (retired but still in my stash).
• Top and Bottom Panels: (5” x 2”) and (5” x 1½”) Rolling Ocean patterned piece of paper from the retired Waves of the Ocran Designer Series pack.
• Sentiment Accent Mat: (3” x 1¾”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (2¾” x 1⅜”) Rectangle die from the retired Deckled Rectangles Dies set and then dry-embossed with the Wavy patterned die from the retired Earthen Textures Dies set.
• Sentiment Block: (3” x 1½”) Pacific Point cardstock (retired but still in my stash).
  • The sentiment, A Sea of Thanks, from the retired A Fish & A Wish stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was then die-cut with the (2⅜” x 1”) Rectangle die, also from the Deckled Rectangles Dies set and dry-embossed with the same die from the Earthen Textures Dies set.
• Focal Image – Fish: (3” x 2”) Pacific Point cardstock.
  • The Fish image from the retired By The Tide stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Both the Layered Sentiment and the Fish were popped up with Dimensionals.

A suitably masculine thank you card.
