Secret Garden – Wonderful

Welcome back!  Saturday…any creative plans?

Several related challenges today.  Starting with the Stampin’ Up! Only (#375) CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a card created by Angel Shaver.  Angel created a Fun Fold card, but I reinterpreted it as a standard A2 Card to showcase patterned papers.

Influences: Double D (#050725) for Patterned Papers and Love Those Pretty Papers (#11) to use Florals.

Sharing with Ellibelle’s Garden Party (#3) and Paper Craft Crew (#620) Mother’s Day.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty in Pink cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Soft Pink Damask Floral patterned paper from the retired CTMH Secret Garden Paper Packet / Stickers set that was made available when CTMH joined with Stampin’ Up!
• Cross Strip Accent Mat: (5½” x 2½”) retired Soft Succulent cardstock from my bin.
• Cross Strip: Soft Pink Floral patterned piece of paper from the same Paper Packet.
• Focal Image Accent Mat: (2½” x 2½”) Petal Pink cardstock die-cut with the (2⅜” x 2⅜”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Image – Flower Spray: Soft Pink Toned Flower Spray fussy-cut from another piece of patterned paper from the same paper Packet.
• The sentiment, Wonderful, is from the Sticker Sheet.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the horizontal version of Angel’s A2 sketch design.  The Floral Spray and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals and a few Antique Pearls were added as a lovely detail.

I love the beautifully designed papers and color tones in Secret Garden and this card would make a very nice card for a Wonderful mother…
