Great Things – Sunrise Sailing

A quick and simple stamped card for you this afternoon…

Facebook’s Stampin’ Through the Catalog is featuring the new On-Line Exclusive stamp set – Sunrise Sailing.  I wanted to explore a few other possibilities…

I selected the color palette and card style suggested by CAS Colours & Sketches (#559) for my design.

Here is the result:

SUNRISE SAILING – STTC – CC&S559

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Night of Navy cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Water image stamp was stamped in a Cross Hatch Grid Pattern with Night of Navy, Balmy Blue and Shy Shamrock inks to create a modern plaid.
  • Accent Circle Mat: (2” x 2”) Shy Shamrock cardstock punched out with the (1¾”) Circle Punch, available On-Line.
  • Sentiment Circle: (2” x 2”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, You’re destined for great things, was stamped with Night of Navy ink and then die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

That’s it folks!  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.  Clean and Simple and pretty much just stamps, ink and paper.

A pretty cool graduation card.
