Just a Note from the Garden

Design Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#510) CASE-Ing Challenge where we copy and selectively edit a card found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs.  Today, it is the last card for the Jan – Apr Mini Catalog and can be found on page 54.

Over at Facebook’s  Stampin’ Through The Catalog, today’s featured stamp set is Shadowed Shapes, so this is where I started.

Here is the result:

SHADOWED SHAPES – GROW WITH LOVE – CT510 – STTC

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Wild Wheat Water Colored patterned piece of paper from the Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Shapes – Circles: Basic White cardstock scraps and Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper scraps die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The two Plant images from the Shadowed Shapes stamp set, still available but on the Last Chance List, were stamped with Strawberry Slush (a new In-Color) and Mossy Meadow inks onto the Basic White cardstock.
    • Herb images from the Grow with Love stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, were stamped onto the patterned paper.  Rosemary – Strawberry Slush; Mint – Mossy Meadow; and Thyme – Wild Wheat (a retiring In-Color).
    • The sentiment, Just A Note, also from the Shadowed Shapes stamp set, with each word separated, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool, was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink onto the Wild Wheat patterned piece of paper.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment Circle was popped up with Dimensionals. Several retired Low-Profile Gold Adhesive Backed Dots (still in my stash) were added for bit of bling.

A great little card…would be fun to add a few seed packets…to help get that Herb Patch started.

I am looking forward to seeing your project based on this week’s sketch.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
