Inspiration Squad – Believe In You

Welcome back!  A cute card for you today for a grandniece’s birthday…

Color Dare (#646) features a set of really pretty colors and AAA Birthday (#72) has a Mythical theme.  I thought the new Inspiration Squad stamp set with the cute little Dragon was just right.  I selected the Sketch Saturday (#773) layout to bring my ideas together

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Bottom Strip: (5¼” x 1½”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the now retired Sale-a-bration Starstruck Embossing Folder.
• Top Panel: (5¼” x 3”) Pool Party Water-colored Ombre patterned piece of paper from the retired Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Square: (2¼” x 2¼”) Coastal Cabana cardstock.
• Top Square: (2¼” x 2¼”) Fresh Freesia Water-colored Ombre patterned piece of paper, also from the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper pack.
• Focal Image – Dragon: (2½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Dragon image from the new Inspiration Squad stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product available in May, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light and Dark Pool Party, Bubble Bath and Highland Heather.
  • The Dragon was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Shape – Rectangle: Highland Heather cardstock scrap.
  • The truncated sentiment, Believe and In You, from the same stamp set, was stamped in two phases with the aid of the retired Stamp-ma-a-jig Positioning Tool with Versamark ink and then heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The Rectangle Shape was created with double die-cutting using the (1½”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.  Finished size: (1½” x ⅞”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, which I mirrored.  A piece of Fresh Freesia retired Open Weave Ribbon was added to the side and two Pretty in Pink and one Summer Splash 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems and a Purple Fine Shimmer Gem were added for a bit of bling.

So cute…my grandniece will be happy with this card.
