Hello again! Another challenge deadline…
Cupcake Inspiration (#615) is featuring Orange, Pink and White for their suggested palette and I selected to use the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle for Farm Quest (#70) and their Insect theme.

I opted to CASE (copy and selectively edit) Kayla Renee’s card that is featured this week with Facebook’s Global Design Project (#492). My takeaways include a central image, texture, and embossed sentiments.

Here is my version:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Timid Tiger cardstock, a new softer Orange 2025/2027 In-Color.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- Shape – Wonky Circle: (3”) Pretty in Pink cardstock die-cut with the (2¾”) Circle die from the Around It All Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, that was then dry-embossed with Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
- Focal Image – Butterfly: (4¼” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
- Using Blending Brushes, Pretty in Pink ink was added in a circular motion within the center on the cardstock and Timid Tiger ink was then added around it.
- The large Butterfly image from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set was then stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink over top of the coloring.
- Using the coordinating Beautiful Butterflies Hybrid Embossing Folder and coordinating Butterfly die, the Butterfly was die-cut and dry-embossed.
- Sentiment Blocks: Basic Black cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the same stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder. The sentiment was then trimmed and cut apart with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble Kayla’s card. The Sentiments were popped up with Dimensionals and a few Pretty in Pink and Peach Pie 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems (still available but on the Last Chance List) were added for a bit of bling.
Turned out rather nicely…

Utterly flutterly lovely-ness!!! You’ve had to gotten your hands messy but you would never know it looking at your beautiful butterfly card!!! The texture provides a setting–what a contrast with the bold colors and soft circular lines of the butterfly against the rough textures behind it! Thanks for creating and sharing for FarmQuest #70!!! — Becca
