Happy Christmas – Coffee with a Friend

Design Team Time: This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#461), we have a Sketch, which I flipped and turned into a Fancy Fold styled card for Cardz 4 Guyz (#370).

Inspiration for today’s card: Jingle Belles (#2508) with an Earth Day theme to use recycled materials and I repurposed a received Holiday Card; Caffeinated Christmas Cards (#40), as always, a Coffee and/or Cocoa theme; Krafty Chicks (#763) for their Christmas theme; and sharing with Creative Creases (#102) always open to a Fancy Fold.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The front of the card was trimmed on the diagonal at (1⅜”) top right to bottom left.
• Background Panel(s): (4” x 5¼”) Real Red Cross Hatch patterned piece of paper from the retired One-Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper pack cut on the diagonal at (1¼”).
  • One piece was adhered to the card front and the other was stamped with the greeting, Happy Christmas, from the retired Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder before it was adhered to the inside of the card.
• Accent Strip: (1⅞” x 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Rectangle Panel: (2⅜” x 3⅞”) Silver Adhesive Backed Glitter Paper (retired).
• Decoration – Coffee Cup and Lid: Recycled Holiday Card with Jolly Snowman and Snowflakes die-cut with the Cup and Lid dies from the retired Coffee Cup Framelits Dies set.
• The greeting, Happiness is a cup of coffee shared with a friend, from the retired Coffee Café stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink to the inside of the card.
  • Two small Snowflakes (Snowman Buttons) from the Holiday Card, were punched out with the retired (⅜”) Circle Punch and adhered for embellishment.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Both the Coffee Cup and Lid were popped up with Dimensionals.

A festive fun Christmas fancy fold card for a good friend.
